If you are looking forward for a fun romantic comedy flick with John Abrahim from the director of Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na - then think again as this one is a dud. Well, it has John Abrahim as a saving grace. The actress Pakhi happens to be the directors wife, so if you think she looks a misfit with 2 left feet, well you know why. The main thing which this romantic movie lacks is the chemistry between its lead characters.
Its shot in London, with a storyline of Notting Hill-meets-Friends-meets-more Hollywood flicks.Jhootha Hi Sahi (JHS) tells the tale of how a Desi Suicide Helpline mistakenly prints a geeky John Abrahim (sid)'s number on its flyer's. Feeling for the cause, Sid decides to volunteer. Then one night Mishka calls (Pakhi),rest of the film is about how Sid dawns two avatars -friend she talks to over the phone and other who tries to woo her. Thrown in are a bunch of friends who seem to have no support system apart from each other- the token Pakistani, Urdu speaking pregnant friend with a Japanese boyfriend, with a couple of gay friends and a hot stewardess. The movie does have its moments of slapstick dialogues.
The film's release was delayed as the music by AR Rehman was not complete. For the audience's sake we wish it had been left incomplete as it is forgettable. "Mayya Yashoda" track exemplifies the term misfit.
Watch for timepass and John Abrahim.
