Let me first begin by saying "Help" does not look like a debutant director's work but rather that of an accomplished one. It offers great thrills that run chills down the spine. The beginning of the movie is slow but picks up pace after the first half hour. The surprising twist in the story concerning the identity of the spirit makes the movie intriguing. Help! has great special effects which add the the impact and feat factor. Some scenes namely- the death of the dog, the little girl crawling on the ceiling with placenta dripping as well as the climax have been done brilliantly and definitely do there share to frighten the audience.

The movie seems to be inspired from the Thai film "Alone" and Hollywood movie "Mirrors". It also follows the pattern of the usual supernatural horror film where the spirit has suffered injustice of some sort and is avenging his/her pain. Help! therefore does'nt bring a whole lot of "new" on the table.
Mughda Godse has definitely improved on her acting skills and delivers a believable performance. Bobby Deol is good. Shreys Talpade is impressive as the professor. Jyoti Dogra is fabulous as the possessed mother.Music of the film is not very memorable.
